Flat subscription APN Configuration: Reolink Go

Modified on Mon, 7 Jun, 2021 at 2:00 PM

The configuration of this APN applies exclusively to Digital Republic Flat SIM cards (network coverage via SUNRISE or SIM ICCID starting with '894102') and must be configured on the end device to enable access to the Internet via the SIM card.

Please perform the APN configurations first according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Reolink GO cameras usually have a voice output and an LED indicator.

When you insert the SIM card and battery into the Reolink camera, the blue LED below the lens will light up for a few seconds before a voice output is heard.

Usually, a faulty connection is caused by:

  1. the SIM card is not read properly by the camera. In this case, the LED indicator will first turn blue and then red and start flashing for a few seconds.
  2. The camera does not establish a connection to the network or the signal strength at this location is too low. In this case, the LED indicator will first turn blue and then solid red for a few seconds.
  3. The camera does not connect to the Reolink server. In this case, the LED indicator does not produce a solid blue light and then stops.
  4. The LED indicator does not light at all. In this case, please reinsert the battery or try to fully charge the battery. Also make sure the APN has been successfully set up in your camera. Below we have enclosed a quick guide for you to complete the APN configuration on your Reolink Go device, please follow the steps below:

Quick Guide:

For APN configuration, you will need the following:

  • Blank SD card
  • Computer/Laptop

  1. Please make sure that the SD card is FAT 32 formatted. If not, you must format it first.
  2. Upload the attached file "my_custom_apn.txt" to the root directory of the SD. Before you do this, you have to decompress the file.
  3. Remove the battery from the camera, then insert the SD card (leave it in the camera) and reinsert the battery.
  4. Now press the reset button with a pin to reset the camera to factory settings. Important: Reset button must be pressed long enough.
  5. The APN configuration is successfully completed.

Note: You may need to perform the reset several times until the camera connects successfully for the first time. Therefore, please perform the reset at least 5 times.
