Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional security query for logging into your customer account. In addition to your password (first factor), a code (second factor) is requested, which you receive via your smartphone. This means that no one can log into your account with your password unless they also have access to your smartphone.
This is why you should set up 2FA wherever possible:
It happens again and again that email addresses and passwords get into circulation as part of cyber attacks on companies. These can then be misused for criminal purposes. As a user, you usually only notice this when it is already too late. 2FA is an effective method of protecting yourself against such attacks. Even if your login details have been leaked, no one can log into your account without access to your smartphone.
