Protect your account by activating two-factor authentication (2FA). This significantly increases the security of your account by adding an extra layer of protection.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. First, you need to log in to your customer portal.
2. Then, click "Account" in the navigation menu on the left.
3. Now click "Login" and scroll down.
4. Next, click "Activate".
5. Now select the 2FA method you'd like to use.

Method 1 - Authenticator App:

1. Select the Authenticator App method and click "Continue" at the bottom right.
2. After downloading the Authenticator App, open it and scan the QR code displayed on the right. In our example, we're using Microsoft's Authenticator app.
   
   
3. Now open the Microsoft Authenticator app and click the + symbol at the top right.
    
4. Next, click "Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)".
    
5. Your smartphone's camera will then open. Now scan the QR code displayed on our website. A numeric code will then appear:
    
6. You now have 60 seconds to enter the displayed code in the customer portal. Then click the button at the bottom right.
   
   
7. In the next step, you'll be shown unique recovery codes. Your recovery codes are important for managing your two-factor authentication settings or recovering your account if you lose access to your device. Each code can only be used once. Please store these recovery codes safely!
8. Once you've saved your codes, you can enter your name below and accept the "terms of use". Then click "continue".
9. Voilà. You have now successfully activated 2FA verification.

Method 2 - SMS Verification:

1. Select the SMS verification method and click "Continue" at the bottom right.
2. Now enter your mobile phone number:
3. Then click "Send code" at the bottom right. You'll now receive an SMS with the corresponding code.
4. Now enter the corresponding code and click "verify" below.
   
   
5. In the next step, you'll be shown unique recovery codes. Your recovery codes are important for managing your two-factor authentication settings or recovering your account if you lose access to your device. Each code can only be used once. Please store these recovery codes safely!
6. Once you've saved your codes, you can enter your name below and accept the "terms of use". Then click "continue".
7. Voilà. You have now successfully activated 2FA verification.
