As soon as you want to transfer your existing number to a new mobile provider, the porting date is always set by the current mobile provider. Unfortunately, we cannot directly influence the porting date. This is solely dependent on your current mobile provider, as they are currently still in "possession" of the number. Only they know your current contract conditions and thus the permissible porting date/cancellation date.
- We will send a porting request to your current mobile provider with your chosen termination type (early termination of contract) or (end of contract term).
- Your current mobile provider receives the porting/cancellation request and enters a porting/cancellation date according to the current contract conditions.
- He sends the porting request back to us with the porting date, and we inform you of this date by e-mail.
- On this porting date, the SIM card can be inserted into the cell phone and used with the previous number. In the case of an eSIM, you will receive a download link by e-mail on this date.
How long does it take to transfer a phone number?
There are usually several working days/weeks between placing the order and the effective number porting. Below you can see the approximate duration of a number porting.
* The notice period may differ depending on the provider and contract.
